Wednesday, March 18, 2009 - Deep straw, medium viscosity, definitely showing some age... a nose of lychee, lime, starfruit, papaya, wet river stones, a hint of motor oil, grass from a lawnmower blade. The palate erupted in grapefruit, lime, crabapple, basil and plasticine, full bodied, with sharp acidity. I almost wondered if semillon were somehow blended in. Diesely, viscous, minerality galore. Hot alcohol (even though only 13%). Showing more like a white Bordeaux or an Alsace riesling in character. Not what I expected when I dragged this one out of the cellar.
