Thursday, December 23, 2021 - Medium(+) ruby-purple, translucent, tainted rim, viscous @15% abv. Brooding aromas of blackberry, underbrush, smoke, violet, meat. Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannin, high alcohol and full body. Palate of red cherry, cassis, grilled meat, tobacco, pepper. Wide ranging mouthfeel, silky fatty ('milk') texture with some alcohol heat remaining. Long finish with good fruit showing amid all this power exerted by the tannins and alcohol resulting in beautifully balance.
At €30 this is a steal.
