92 Points

Thursday, November 15, 2012 - Five Decades of Lynch Bages with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Not sure if this is due to bottle variation or the 2 hr decanting took its toll. When we had it last 6 months ago we chose not to decant and we would suggest one avoids decanting this fragile wine.
The nose seemed a bit off putting and definitely was out of sync with the good palate presence of this wine. Unlike on the nose on the palate is very much alive subtle wine and although it lacks the depth and glory of the 85 it still has a good amount of fruit and freshness. Good but not great but we also had a better experiences so not sure how much representative our 91-92 today vs our 93 6m ago is. Came 3rd on the eveing behind the 85 & 96
