Monday, December 3, 2018 - One of the finest noses I can recall ever encountering; simply glorious nose of leather, various sous bois elements that change so rapidly like a kaleidoscope with plenty of sweetness intact. I guessed it to be a 78. Sweet dried fruit melange with bacon fat, hickory smoke, onion compote, compelling minerality that you find both on the nose and palate. The tannins seem to melt in your mouth, with layers of fatty beef broth-like savory flavors are held in balance but a weightless impression. Rich and regal but delicate and ever-changing. Kaleidoscopic nature with top notch intensity.
