Joy said it tasted like a sparkling version of California chardonnay. I'm going to leave the other bottle I have to sleep for a few more years and hopefully it comes together a bit better. My experience doesn't seem to parallel what other tasters experienced, but to me it didn't seem to have the crispness, austerity, or acidity to back up its buttery warmth.
