I'll weigh in because this one was a fun Garagiste gamble for a very small buy-in, and the comments here are back and forth. I had 2 bottles and drank the first one a couple of weeks ago. It was okay. Interesting, different, enjoyable enough with and without food over a couple of nights but not great. A little flabby around the middle and lacking any crisp acidity that I was wishing for, but not bad. Opened the 2nd bottle last night and struggled through a glass and a half until recognizing the off-putting flavor as buttermilk. Dumped the rest of the bottle. I don't think the first bottle tasted like that, so maybe there's quite a bit of variance from bottle to bottle? Or this second one had an odd bacterial taint? I dunno. Glad I don't have any more.

Not my favorite champ, but still enjoyable. I love a biscuity, toasty sparkler but this one was a bit disjointed. Joy said it tasted like a sparkling version of California chardonnay. I'm going to leave the other bottle I have to sleep for a few more years and hopefully it comes together a bit better. My experience doesn't seem to parallel what other tasters experienced, but to me it didn't seem to have the crispness, austerity, or acidity to back up its buttery warmth.
