Thursday, June 25, 2020 - This bottle of Giacosa's 1985 1985 Barolo Villero di Castiglione Falletto was fully mature, unfurling in the decanter and glass to deliver an expressive nose of fennel seed, dried cherries, strawberries, pipe tobacco and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, melting and enveloping, with tangy acids and an ample core of sweet fruit, it's sunny and generous in personality.
