Wednesday, April 10, 2019 - Tasted blind. Med + ruby. Black cherry, black plum, leather, sweet oak spices. Youthful. Dry but very fruit forward, with med acidity, med (+) tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). Full-bodied, with good flavor intensity and length. Good by itself and a great pairing for grilled and smoked Texas meats. Drink through 2022. Turns out it is a blend of 58% Nero d'Avola, 25% Carmenere, 8.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8.5% Alicante Bouschet.
