Sunday, January 28, 2024 - The one with Luca Roagna (Teochew Paradise): The Marechale is always a very nice one to drink. Had this vintage before but today's showing was much better. Pretty on the opening with mulberries, violets, some earth and a very light touch of dried red fruit. Palate showed some rusticity, with damp earth, spices and cherry undertones. Palate shows quality here with elegance and depth that culminates in a really balanced mouthfeel. Well, if it smells like chambolle, tastes earthy and rustic yet has balance and elegance, it is Mugnier Marechale. Very stoked that to have called Mugnier from the get go.
