Tuesday, February 6, 2024 - Impressive wine from Arterberry Maresh. Could easily be mistaken for a Côte-d'Or 1er Cru, though more towards Meursault to me than Puligny.

Pronounced aromas of toast, butterscotch and vanilla, but without being overpowering. Fruit aromas of quince and yellow apples keep the nose fresh. Hint of cardamom.
Nice fresh acidity, though lacking just a bit of tension to grab extra points. Medium-bodied and long finish with a palette that feels like (what I imagine) fall in Oregon, with ripe apples and hint of butterscotch.

Objectively very good wine, though personally I found it a little straight forward. By comparison I think Morgen Long makes the best chardonnays in Oregon with such brilliant tension and personality. Agree? Disagree? Hit me.
