Sunday, January 10, 2021 - Retail $75. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. *Really* Big Ass Bottle. Brothers (along with Alexander's Crown and Rockaway) sits atop the Rodney Strong pinnacle of wines. It is a single vineyard Cabernet from the northern reaches of the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. Dark in the glass with rich, really rich, dark fruit (blackberry, plum, cassis), mocha, subtle oak, and both black and white pepper. The palate is nothing short of glorious (particularly after several hours open), with rich fruit, an "elegant heft," balanced acidity, a multitude of flavors and depth, and an absolutely killer finish.
