Friday, October 11, 2013 - I purchased this bottle from the winery in 2004 on a special tour with the wine maker that signed three bottles for me. Makes a nice addition to my collection. This bottle was stored in perfect condition (Eurocave) and had not been touched for well over 8 years. The wine was a dark purple on the eye with flavours and aromas of plum, cassis, and sweet fruit. The wine is obviously new world with its fruity flavours but the medium body character with the lower alcohold content was very refreshing and unlike some other over to the top alcoholic cabs from Napa. Unfortunately, I found the character of the wine unidimensional, lacking in complexity. Nevertheless, this is a well done fruit driven cab with softer tannins that have benefited from over 10 years of ageing. Should do very well with Americans looking for something a little more relaxed.
