Friday, July 21, 2023 - Juicy. 5-year old Bariques doesn’t leave very much oaky characteristics. I would have guessed stainless steel. Smokey finish. Not sophisticated. Good, but side by side with Barboursville, it was the lesser wine. Needs lighter food than steak. Tart plum and raspberry fruit with licorice and thyme along with some pepper.
