Thursday, December 29, 2011 - PnP served over 3 nights (hit with gas on night one, re-served night 3), all showing very well. Brick red core with generous signs of orange-brown at the rim. Gorgeous aromatics of sweet herbs, clove, allspice, the gentlest touch of brett, tobacco leaf and candied red and black fruits. With airtime, this proves to be a wine as much enjoyed on the nose as the palate - the complexity and purity of fruit presented in an understated, elegant fashion. A touch of prune, fig and more complex herbs round out the medium-bodied finish that rolls along ever-so gently with the supporting acids and fine (resolved) tannins. My fourth bottle in the past 5 months, and the best one so far. Drink thru 2014, 13,0% abv, score: A-
