Thursday, June 24, 2021 - Appearance- Medium gold with watery legs.
Nose- Medium (+) intensity. Lemon, lime, acacia, quince, ginger, and 7-Up/Sprite. Developing.
Palate- Dry, Medium (+) Acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity and medium finish. Lemon, lime, grapefruit, quince and flint.
Quality- very good, drink now but has potential for aging.
I honestly loved the aromas of this wine and had to add the 7-Up/Sprite note, it was patently obvious. If the flavors had carried through to the palate with the same intensity this would have been a truly amazing wine. Unfortunately, it lacked the depth and power. It has aging capacity due to the acidity and will hopefully evolve with some tertiary flavors in the next 5-10 years.
