  • Appearance- Medium gold with watery legs.
Nose- Medium (+) intensity. Lemon, lime, acacia, quince, ginger, and 7-Up/Sprite. Developing.
Palate- Dry, Medium (+) Acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity and medium finish. Lemon, lime, grapefruit, quince and flint.
Quality- very good, drink now but has potential for aging.
I honestly loved the aromas of this wine and had to add the 7-Up/Sprite note, it was patently obvious. If the flavors had carried through to the palate with the same intensity this would have been a truly amazing wine. Unfortunately, it lacked the depth and power. It has aging capacity due to the acidity and will hopefully evolve with some tertiary flavors in the next 5-10 years.

  • Very pale yellow, probably the lightest colored wine I have ever seen. The nose has pineapple, quince, peach and nectarines. On the palate it is enticing- mainly peaches to begin with. There’s a petroleum note that typifies the varietal alongside some yellow apples. Super tasty mind you, with some focused acidity to keep things sharp. The midpalate has some enjoyable flab, a weightiness that fills the mouth and adds to the body. The finish gets all serious with some flinty minerality, a resurgence of the apple theme as well as the nectarines and is medium in length and smooth. Overall this is a terrific wine that gets 92 points from me. Drink till 2025. $45 is rather steep, but this one’s a keeper that gets 4 stars.

  • Color: medium gold, clear with thin, light legs
Nose: melon, stewed mango, white flowers
    Palate: quince, lemon pith, papaya
Mouthfeel: juicy, full, rich start, medium acidic finish

A little basic for Alsatian Rieslings in my opinion but very enjoyable at the QPR.
