93 Points

Wednesday, September 20, 2023 - This pours medium garnet in the glass with light bricking. The nose is lifted, complex and nicely mature showing cuban cigar, graphite, gravel, ripe strawberry, toasted coconut, dill, rich cedar, dried cherry, shoe polish, nori, and a lovely topnote of grapefruit. The palate is silky and hugely appealing entering on the cherry fruit, turning to grapefruit on the mid-palate and finish. Acid is medium plus and tannin is medium minus, giving this freshness without an imposing structure. The finish is long built on grapefruit with a gravelly minerality. I absolutely loved this wine, almost considering a higher score. It's just massively appealing to drink right now. Appropriately priced at $55 CAD, even a bit of a value to be honest.
