Very obtuse, waxy front on the mouthfeel. Really supple and round. Really impressed with the way this one just seems to coat every corner of the mouth. Peaches, nectarines, apricots and yellow fruit are the recurring theme here. Finishes with some dried herbal qualities and leans out really well. Went well with spicy sausage as the front actually kind of overpowered the sausage but the dried herbal qualities danced nicely with the spicy character of the sausage. This is a 2017 Condrieu, so.....it's a baby in just about every way possible. I look for the "baby fat" that frames the front to soften which will probably even be better for the awesome fruit core to shine even more over the next 15 or so years. Really enjoyed this one!
