Saturday, June 5, 2021 - This is often the best in the Chevillon range and in 2017 this is brilliant. A very perfumed nose without any trace of reduction showing blue fruits with a hint of sauvage and smoke. The palate is very refined, with lots of sappy blue and black fruits with sweetness and nice Premeaux limestone flavors that kick in after a very viscous and luscious mid palate. There is a lot here but everything is well balanced and enjoyable as there is so much sap and the tannic backbone is very fine. Already very enjoyable but will be an amazing bottle in 20 years. Grand cru level here.
