Monday, September 6, 2021 - notes from memory

A: Medium (almost deep) Gold
N: Pronounced nose of marmalade , lemon, ripe red woody apples, cooked pear, hazelnuts, chalk
P: Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium (+) intensity, medium body and long finish

It was lovely, of course, but I think this would be better if left to age. There are $120 bottles which taste much the same and this is twice the price. Love the oxidate style. Got a little brooding umami off this but would have like to have held it much longer for the real magic to happen. Outstanding quality as expected but its got way more to give.

Don't know disgorgement date but I probably won't be buying another of these. Too many other fine lovelies to try and Ive yet to open The Substance bottle so I'll leave that one for another year or two and see where it goes.
