2004 Château Coutet Barsac

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Monday, March 18, 2019 - Beautiful copper color that already tends to amber. A very nice syrup in mutation. With the eye we see immediately that the material is damn rich and sweet. The nose is of a beautiful complexity: a combination of stewed fruits and some subtle notes of aging (vanilla? caramel?). On the palate no surprise: the wine completely covers the mouth. It's full, unctuous and beautifully bold. Apricots and vanilla appear well at the tasting. Coutet 2004 combines a great aromatic richness and a beautiful control of the breeding. The cute little tension in the final allows the taste buds not to be disgusted. The wine is very good. It pairs perfectly with the dish since it balances the salt of the grilled chicken. Great choice!
