Saturday, May 14, 2016 - Medium lemon - fully developed. Very tight and lean upon opening. Needed decanting for an hour, plus closer to room temperature to open up and fill out. Broad but crisp, still with freshness even if fully mature, without the concentration or structure to support positive future development. Not especially textured on the midpalate, nor showing great sense of place or present. Focus to the finish if angular, not energetic. Citrus, honey, yeast, toast ... nothing particularly distinctive.
