Sunday, July 22, 2012 - Appearance: Bright and clear, medium (+) lemon in color, with watery rims and legs
Nose: Clean, medium intensity and developing aromas of hay, mushroom, kerosene, lime, grapefruit, pear and mango.
Palate: Off-dry, with medium acidity, this wine is of medium alcohol and medium (+) bodied, with medium intensity flavors of almond, petrol, mango, grapefruit and mushroom, finishing with a medium (+) length.
Conclusion: Very good quality Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris with a highly complex nose, showing both mature, mineral and fruit characters, the wine is reasonably concentrated, with a slightly sweet palate and creamy texture of equally complex flavors, accompanying by a fairly long length. Ready to drink now and can further keep for another 2-4 years.
