Saturday, November 19, 2022 - Simply I just wanted to have a great wine so I grabbed the 2017 without really thinking about it. So all I can say overall is the wine was elegant, restrained and excellent which almost seems stupid to say. It's got vibrant cassis intertwined with a layer of dustiness tannins, in a good way with oak that supports the palate well. In drinking this wine one of my guests suggested that he now knows where the Easter bunny had a fall and left its eggs as there was chocolate and vanilla with berries everywhere. A rich, mouth fulling palate with a generous mid-palate and a little splash of leafy, cinnamon and spice. One of my best wines this year and drunk way to young but its memorable.
