Tuesday, April 2, 2019 - The nose was withdrawn at first, taking time to open in the glass, showing a mix of cherries and stone dust with hints of dried roses. On the palate, I found a sweet and spicy display, given further liveliness through zesty acids, as ripe red fruits and late-coming tannin saturated the senses. The finish was long with tart berries fighting for a chance to show, as grippy tannin clenched the palate. As backward as this is today, I have a feeling there’s something special in store for us down the road.
