Friday, January 16, 2015 - Last - and best - bottle. Spicy, rich, blackberry, ripe black cherry and mahogany nose and palate. Hints of undergrowth, earth and farm as well as woody concentration adds complexity. Wonderful concentration and length for a village wine. Great balance. Peaks at 2 hours air. Better showing than last year. As with my last note, this is no elegance here. But on a cold winter's evening, simply stunning for a village wine.
