Wednesday, December 29, 2021 - Mid mahogany to bricking rim.
Profuse bouquet of toasted spices, tobacco leaf, desiccated coconut, cigar lounge, baked red fruits topped with cinnamon. In the background sit vanilla extract, candied orange, banana sweets and Xmas spices.
Medium-bodied, the wine is packed with intense, tertiary notes. Complex, refined this is a lissom textured wine with sweet patterned tannins. Delicate nuances of tinned morello cherry, cherry creme and even rose petals lift the wine balanced with crisp-fresh acidity and toasted spice. A long, lingering farewell, the wine leaves sumptuously, layered and utterly enjoyable. 92-93
