Monday, March 24, 2014 - Still youthful looking with medium ruby core fading to somewhat pinkish rim. On the nose, mostly red fruit with notes of fresh plum. Some prominent meaty notes. Good acidity. Medium finish and body. Velvety tannins. Not particularly complex, but IMO a very good village Burgundy nonetheless that shows the characters of the terroir: robust and maybe with a touch sauvage. Drinking well now but could hold for another 3 to 5 years.
