93 Points

Monday, May 27, 2019 - Opened and poured. The nose was rather simple showing red fruits. Color was light red. After several drinks all I could compare it to was strawberries that weren’t fully ripe. Drank slowly over 3 hours and it got better as it got more air. I left enough to have a glass on day 2 and as I suspected it was much better on day two. It picked up color and opened up a lot. Red ripe fruits on the nose and some oak present balancing out the wine. Had I not tried this on day 2 I would have certainly rated it several points lower. I would hold for 2-4 years or decant for 3+ hours.
