I am a fan of Hansel wines, particularly the South Slope pinot. This was my first bottle of The Three Rows and it did not disappoint. No need for decanting, this is in its prime drinking window. Fragrant and elegant, fresh red fruit with a bit of earthiness, soft tannins, and a moderate finish. Just as good the second day. A pleasure just to slowly sip throughout the evening. A wine to appreciate.

Opened and poured. The nose was rather simple showing red fruits. Color was light red. After several drinks all I could compare it to was strawberries that weren’t fully ripe. Drank slowly over 3 hours and it got better as it got more air. I left enough to have a glass on day 2 and as I suspected it was much better on day two. It picked up color and opened up a lot. Red ripe fruits on the nose and some oak present balancing out the wine. Had I not tried this on day 2 I would have certainly rated it several points lower. I would hold for 2-4 years or decant for 3+ hours.
