Saturday, July 17, 2010 - Oh my! My best bottle of this wine, by far. Indescribable nose -- wave after wave of wild berry, strawberry, sage, smoke, clove, chocolate, flowers, and wet earth. Palate has a core of wild berry and black cherry, with notes of anise, smoke, cola, bittersweet chocolate, and minerals. Finish lasts 45-60 seconds. Tannins resolved, acidity still present. None of the heat detected in prior bottles. Prior creamy notes have disappeared. Superb.
