Monday, May 15, 2023 - Clean but has enough life and sophistication to it that it kept offering new notes over an hour drinking window. At a whopping 14.5% this blanc leaves behind the traits of a heavy hitter and opens up to expressions of passion fruit, kiwi, cantaloupe, and pear. There’s a bit of apricot (plenty on the nose) and it’s rounded off with minerals and fresh oak. This borderlines on a dessert wine with its thickness - comprised of 70% marsanne & 30% roussane - paired with porcini and truffle ravioli + black truffle oil infused pesto, this made for a fantastic night.
