Saturday, April 25, 2015 - Medium-deep ruby red in color. Forward, assertive & fragrant nose of complex, dark ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & plum with sous bois & garrigue notes, floral notes of lavender, dried Provençal herbs with pepper & bay leaf, earthy, dusty, minerals and a touch of vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of balanced, smooth textured, still youthful, ripe dark fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with earthy, herbs, anise, pepper, beefy, minerals and a hint of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and airing, but has the structure & fruit to continue further development with additional aging.
