Monday, July 27, 2009 - One of our first stabs at German riesling. Very pale gold. Nose of melon, apricot, honeysuckle, and lime. Palate showing pristine, crisp, purely delineated fruit just this side of sweet with a voluptuousness that belies its steely spine. Racy acidity and long, floral finish. Terrific with arugula topped with shaved parmesan and calarmari rings. Wow, paints a picture which hangs in the air long after swallowing.
