Saturday, August 28, 2021 - FWSG 2018 mini horizontal tasting. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of extremely floral peonies, violets, roses, supreme perfume, fine red cherries, strawberries, red plum, mineral inflected earth. Developing. To die for kinda nose.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, superfine filigreed tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, strawberry, fine red berries, sweet spices, flower juice, inner meatiness, mineral infused earth. Such a fine long lingering finish.
Outstanding excellent quality. I estimate it had been aired for at least a few hours in glass vial already. Really drops my jaw and blows my mind how good this young CSJ is showing!
