Saturday, August 12, 2023 - Bought at Chateau d’Issan, its a second wine of Chateau d’Issan, made from a blend of 52% CS, 48% Merlot, aged in oak, 35% new. Deep ruby colour. Intense, fairly dense and concentrated aroma of cassis, vanilla, violets, cherries, earth, tobacco, rustic meaty touch. Medium+ body, silky texture, elegant structure, feels fresh, but approachable with earthy blackcurrants, leather and smoky hints, medium+ acidity and fine medium+ tannins.
