95 Points

Tuesday, November 30, 2021 - 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Solid aromas that takes hold with its concentrated fruit core of plums, blackberries, sweet cool smoke, licorice, cask and lots of spices. Pretty full-bodied and wonderful wine that take hold and spread out with all its power before the wine just stays up there. Complex fruit of plums. Blackberries, leather and licorice. Some graphite, against chalk on a long and tougher finish with firm tannins. The acid holds on to the wine, but consequently 15% alcohol is a lot. But as long as the balance is there, most things work. Brilliant wine.
