Community Tasting Note

Thursday, January 18, 2024 - This wine starts a series dedicated to wine producers/makers who have passed in the last few years. Red cherry, Red Vines, menthol, SweetTarts, wood, a little new leather, and a little smoke on the nose. Tart cherry, cherry jam, more of that SweetTart thing, graphite, herbs, earth, and wood on the palate. Juicy acidity, grippy tannins, short-med finish that's not very delicious. It has that inexpensive wine taste that's hard to define. Lack of grape concentration? While one can say that it's drinkable for $4, that would be selling yourself short. Maybe spend a little more and get something a bit more interesting. You're worth it! I would rate this Average.
