Saturday, March 13, 2021 - Opened, poured into a decanter, and swirled a bit. Left half the bottle for the next day.
Dark vibrant purple color.
Nose offers plums, blackberries and a violet floral note. Also present is a cedar and oak note.
Enjoyable bouquet.
Flavors leans towards that plum side of the fruit equation with dark berries and floral high notes. There is some oak present to add tannins and a slight bitter edge.
Enjoyable now but still has a tightness to it that suggests another 3 to 5 years in bottle will be beneficial.
