Saturday, March 21, 2015 - Dinner without a Bordeaux often happens, but rarely should. We decided something a bit more unique was befitting of our guests from Florida and Latvia, thus the Chateau L’Arrosee 2000. A truly excellent and somewhat typical (60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon) expression of a reasonably priced St Emilion Gand Cru Classe, we rank this heavy, dark fruit and equally elegant drop high among the entire region’s offering. Now that the vineyard has been acquired by Chateau Haut-Brion (I believe in 2013), we expect even greater future sipping as Jean-Philippe's team works its magic!!!
