Friday, July 28, 2023 - How often have you been thrilled with a wine on holiday or in the maker's cellar, only to find that, once back home, it is merely okay? Now, there is nothing wrong with this wine. Indeed, it is quite nice, but I simply do not find it to be the stellar product I remember when I bought it at Le Domaine de la Taille aux Loups in Montlouis two years ago. Yes, it has fine structure, classic cab franc nose and palate, and appropriate acidity but it just lacks that 'wow' factor I remember.
