Friday, December 28, 2018 - Screw cap , 66% Shiraz / 34% Cab Sauv, 16% Alc. Decanted and poured and frankly the wine change very little over the hour we had it.
Dark color, rich ripe and juicy but also enjoyable in its style and we felt the cab Sauv albeit not that noticeable tames the Shiraz and keeps it honest vs spice and that usual new world sweetness. Better with rich food or well aged meat. What we found facinating is that at age 12 this was very much on the money and shows capacity to age and easily has another 10 yrs in the tank. Good wine albeit the rich and ripe side of it makes it a bit one dimensional. 90-91 but we could see how this could be rated more by people who like the style.
