Thursday, January 9, 2020 - Dark garnet-purple, still opaque, with hints of brown at the edges. Powerful but typical shiraz aromas of deep black fruits, smoky oak. Very viscous. Still very concentrated fruit, power over elegance or complexity, hasn't moved much since it was young. High alcohol, hot and long finish. Good for a glass or two but then becomes over the top. I don't think it will evolve much further, so best to drink over the next few years.
