Saturday, October 10, 2009 - Rich, full bodied Pinot. The palate had rich strawberries and cherries with some spice. The finish lingered for a long time. Nose actually had hints of butterscotch, with berries and some smokiness. All in all this was a highly extracted rich wine. I don't think that the wine was out of balance, but I prefer a little more acidity and austerity. Popped, poured, and consumed over a few hours. Would have been interested to see what this was like over a longer period of time. Will definitely wait on my last bottle for a few years.
