Thursday, October 26, 2023 - Garnet color with a brick red rim. Nose has a lot of marasca cherry, some florals, thyme and warm spice. On the palate this has a lot of red and black cherry, kirsch, and mint. Medium+ acidity, medium body, tannins are well integrated on the palate right now but are very long and not yet fully integrated through the finish. A little rustic for Cavallotto but not surprising for the vintage (especially given that this 2017 clocks in at 14.5%).
