Big for a Volnay, which means medium body, some smoke, spice, and earth at the end in addition to ripe but finely rendered fruit. Light underpinning of wood. Excellent acidity, not terribly tannic. This was truly excellent, with wonderful balance that made it inviting even at this early juncture. I look forward to following it over the years.
