Sunday, February 28, 2021 - PnP and drank over two nights. Medium dark purple. Lightly sweet baking spices, crumbly blackberry pie, some green bell pepper/chive; i really like this subtle green element on the nose which balances the fruit and oak. Silky entry; it is powerful and dark fruited (tart blackberry, firm cherry skins), not over-done, some gritty tannins mid-palate suggesting much more time needed of course. I like it.

Day 2: perfumed floral note on the nose; quite tannic, needs food. I'd guess that giving it a solid five years would be the best idea right now.
