Thursday, February 24, 2022 - Probably the best 17 ive had. This has plush fruits with lots of dark cherry and some blueberry, with hints of minerality, but much less than other vintages as this is more fruit forward. You would never know this is a cool vintage as there are no green notes (nor any smoke taint). I am really impressed with the quality here and i might need to reassess and open some of these outpost’s earlier.

2/25/2022 6:55:00 AM - I visited the winery this past December and I really like their juices, I have had a few older vintages and always great. But I have never adventure to open a younger vintage... Do you really think they may drink better on their youth or "you might like them young?"

2/25/2022 9:12:00 AM - I have always aged my outposts as earlier vintages were tight young and needed the age. After reading some of the reviews on some of the younger vintages i decided to crack this one. The wine usually adds more minerality as it ages and im thinking the winemaking may have changed to make them more approachable earlier, but i havent had enough recent vintages to conclude. Im gonna open a 13, 16, 18 soon to see
