Thursday, February 16, 2023 - I am a piglet in mud. Just got the last case of this on sale in Australia on wine-searcher.com. Heroic dark colour. Heroic deep complex multilayered nose - I reckon' I can still detect oak after 25 years BUT that can't be possible, what gives? Elevated blackberry , I can nose this all night. What words to describe? Majestic, robe of power, alive, dense, penetrating, blackberry pastille, kaleidescope, core of iron strength, drying tannin on the back palate that makes it a must for the table. I'm not sure words do justice to this or at least I'm struggling. Has to be in the top echelons of red wine produced in this country. I'm guessing 20-30 years of life left but Jesus just drink it!
