90 Points

Sunday, October 18, 2009 - A tawnied garnet color shows signs of aging. Earthy aromas with spicy red fruit tell the tale of an old warrior. Full body with moderate acidity. Up front are earth and fruit. Red berries, blackberry, cassis, cranberry, minerals, cocoa, even some blueberry and potato sack. Theres a defined date essence. The finish is long. Although this wine is into it's senior years I am totally enjoying picking out all the complex nuances.
